Re: Version 0.6

First impressions: New style! Bolder level-menu border, main menu buttons changed a bit. Teehee, server levels won't replace my levels. Actually quite a nice message to have. Testing... Level 41 (? the one with a circle of currents in the middle, first one in third page). It froze, so far been about...

Re: Feel Bad Friday(s)!

Ah, a nice, relaxing Feel Bad Friday this week. I take on Through the Spikes and Charges by A Random Player. Watch how I do. The floating near the charges effect is actually a "bug"... But not one which can be fixed reasonably (without halting oracles and a symbolic mathematics system :P)...

Re: Off-Topic Posts

So I just remembered that today is 6! Or yesterday, considering how late I'm posting this. All the "is a number followed by an exclamation mark a factorial or excitement" confusion has lead to this day :P

Re: Level Creation Megathread

Here's a cool mechanism, not really a difficult level. It doesn't work. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but when I flip the yellow switch and do nothing else, the blocks never turn into an X. It's just gibberish . And you claim the level is beatable...but I can't find a way into the left half, ...

This level was made some time before Letter Writer, but I just finished testing it today. Through the Path (alternate title: Magnetic Guitar Hero?): [The Electric Shocktopus-"Through the Path"-eNrtWj1vgzAQ/SvISxcPGPtMO2XOL+hQdUiitokqlQFSKUL978UYh+9ACiXE3LORyfE4zN3jSOTEtAbOsh1Qu8VOqfdUphQBZ...

Re: Feel Bad Friday(s)!

-Made it easier to walk just a short distance. Right now, you run so fast that tight quarters (running one tile to the side without continuing into a spike) are *challenging*. So I played around with the movement-controls. Now, TES starts off just a bit slower, giving you a chance to stop in a smal...

New Horizons

Pluto, here we come! July 14, 2015 11:49:57 UTC (07:49:57 EDT) is the official closest approach time, when the spacecraft will pass 12,500 km (7,800 mi) from Pluto. This is a little more than 9 hours. As always, Wikipedia has a gallery of the various photos taken by NH. Remember that because of the ...

Re: So I tried to see if I could do something like GSim in J

For merging, you just need to worry about (a) Conservation of Mass, and (b) Conservation of Momentum (mass*velocity). So make sure the new planet has the sum of the old masses (which I imagine you're already doing). And then sum up the momenta before, and use that to figure out the momentum (and th...

Re: So I tried to see if I could do something like GSim in J

I can probably only avoid calls to trig functions if the law is r^-2, and I do plan on adding other laws eventually. Actually, you can avoid trig functions entirely. In GSim, the only time it would calculate a trig function is if you use one in the force law itself. True! You just need to remember ...
