Part 4: See-all's Lair

Post by exfret »

Here's the next part in the See-all seal story! Will you find the See-all Seal once and for all?

Could this finally be the See-all Seal's lair? Velocity Raptor licks her lips in anticipation, but she tastes something other than seal…

Hmm… Something isn't quite right. Why would the See-all Seal need those cannons there. Maybe the seal has visitors to protect from?

Code: Select all

Wait just a second. Something's fishy here, and it's not just that fish in the water. Why would the See-all Seal need those maps? And what about those cannons I've been seeing?

Re: Stuck on anvil glacier

Post by exfret »

Are you trying it in measured? It's still possible in measured, though it's a bit harder. You can do it in normal if that's easier. To finish the level, hit the fire block, then go around it quickly, and finally head down the glacier to the finish. It shouldn't be too hard. Once you start getting to Geyser bay, then the levels start to get really hard! (But never fear, because it becomes easier again once you reach the volcano).

End of the Series

Post by exfret »

It's coming... The end of the series of levels that lead up to the finding of Professor Rex! Will Velocity Raptor finally get to meet the See-all Seal once and for all??? Here's what the next part to the story is called (close your eyes if you don't like sneak peeks, suspense, or traps):

Part 5: The Trap

Part 5: The Trap

Post by exfret »

Here they are! The last part in the See-all Seal series of levels!!!

Finally, the volcano, the maps, and the cave are all part of the past, but there is a new concern in Velocity Raptor's mind…

It's a trap!!! Suddenly, a booming voice echoes in the caves:
Prof. Rex: HAHAHAHAHA!!! I have trapped you Velocity Raptor. See if you can get out of this one!
Velocity Raptor:
Prof. Rex: Where is the See-all Seal you ask? I am the See-all Seal! You see, I have always hated how light speed was a limit, so I started working on a device that would remove that limit. How you ask? Simple, I sped up the speed of light, thus making the limit more limitless. Then, I would be able to see galaxies farther away than ever, because their light would reach my eyes faster. Of course, there was one teeny little problem problem: I didn't have a telescope to look into the night sky, and the scientists who had a telescope wouldn't let me borrow theirs, so, for punishment, I kept on changing the speed of light to make their observations seem bizarre. They never knew what hit them! What does this have to do with the See-all Seal you ask? Well, since I sped up the speed of light, I allowed scientists to see farther into the Universe, and the objects they saw were more current. Of course, I expected that the person looking into the night sky would be myself, so I named myself See-all Rex. This was all a long time ago. Once we met, Velocity Raptor, I realized the the ultimate counter to your speed would be changing the speed of light! You would have to live with all sorts of strange relativity effects. I just had to tweak my machine to change the speed of light to slow, which I have done! It is too late! Of course, these relativity effects are making me sick, too (I wish I was colorblind), so I have turned them off for the time being. I also did this so you would be unable to escape! I have fooled you! Muahahaha. It was all part of my diabol…
*You hear crashing*
Prof. Rex: Uhhh, sorry about that. Some of my dirty dishes fell from the stack I've got by the sink. I've got to wash those sometime… Anyways, now you will be unable to stop me until I have tied up some loose ends. And then I will defeat you! Ha, there's no way out of this one Velocity Raptor! At least, I hope there isn't.
Velocity Raptor: Grrr.
Prof. Rex: What?! I still haven't finished telling you about the See-all Seal scheme? Oh, right, the See-all Seal thing was all just baloney. I made it up in order to lure you into my trap, I chose the name See-all Seal because I couldn't think of much else, and "See-all Rex" would have been a giveaway. Anyways, have fun in that little doppler cage of yours!
Velocity Raptor's Thoughts: Hmm... The doppler keys still seem to be changing colors...

Code: Select all

Prof. Rex: How'd you get past the level!? I had light speed on 'fast.' Oh, I see. When my dishes fell, some of them fell on my light-speed changy thing and pushed it to 'slow'. I should have caught that! I guess I was too absorbed in my diabolical computer to notice any unusual light effects.
*You hear a lever being pushed*
There, now it's back to usual. Anyways, you still won't be able to get past my cannons of doom!!

What?! You got past my cannons of doom?!!! Well, I've got another trick up my sleeve: An avalanche covered up the exit!!! I would claim this to be my own diabolical doing, but it seems that something else caused the avalanche. Oh well, you still won't be able to escape! And, even if you do, you'll still have to get passed my pond, through my storage shed holding who-knows-what and over my field of cannons! Ha! You'll never get to me!!!!

Part 6: The End

Post by exfret »

Prof. Rex: What, you expected me to be here standing waiting here for you? I made this place to trap you, not to shelter myself and my diabolical inventions throughout my life. You'll never be able to find out where my real lair is, not like you'll be able to stand the extreme cold of 3845 Mad Scientist Drive, Dinosaur, Antarctica anyways, especially since you're a cold-blooded dinosaur! Oops.

Well, you passed it. If I had an artistic in-game screen to show you I would, but sadly I don't. I can't make in-game text either, so I can't show you that either, but I CAN give you a congratulations and a high-five*. You have now passed through the whole** story of Velocity Raptor!!! Congratulations! How do you feel now that you have TWO complimentary high-fives? Pretty good, right?

Looking for posts

I would like to give thanks to the encouraging posts of TestTubeGames/Andy, but there's lots more room for posts on this thread. Please, if you have anything from encouraging words to boasting comments to helpful suggestions to asking for help, please don't hesitate to post on this thread! I just want to know that people are playing and hopefully enjoying my levels. Maybe you (the person reading this) can make some levels of your own (they don't have to be a big huge series). That's part of the reason why I made this series: I had finished the Velocity Raptor series of levels, and I didn't see much more levels to complete in the Velocity Raptor forums, so I decided to create some levels of my own for anyone who came across the same problem as I had. Maybe you can help to solve this problem as well. You can also help to solve the problem of me not being able to see whether anyone is enjoying my levels by simply posting a comment. Thanks for reading, and I hope you're enjoying my See-all Seal levels!!!

Re: Series of Levels

Post by testtubegames »

Exfret (and all) -- I loaded all these up, and I'm rearing to play.

From what I've seen from the first handful of levels I played -- there are some beastly challenging levels in your game. And I love frustration. So I figured I'd do a little experiment: record myself playing the levels so the whole world (or us) can see how I do. Man vs. Machine. Creator vs. Creations. TestTube vs. Games.

Will it be entertaining? I dunno. Will I successfully avoid swearing? Possibly. But I kinda want to give it a shot -- so I'll start with the first set. ('Set' defined as until I rage quit, maybe? ;) )

So Exfret, question for you, should I be running these levels in any particular mode? You've mentioned a couple times to run certain levels one way or another... but what is the *proper* way to run them? Newton? Measured? SEEN? (plsplspls not seen!)
