Holy crap.

That's like, all I have to say. Great job mate.

Load, then look at the right edge of the screen. A box, open to the left, should slowly appear. After it does, wait a second, and something should happen. Once it does, pause the game so you have time to check things out.

Not really my creation, but use a force law of r^10, then find the example with two stars and an asteroid. Let it run, and...

The (most) resilient infinity:

Code: Select all

Gravity Fun at TestTubeGames.com: [ForceGr: r^(-2),Qual: 1,Zoom: 1,xSet: 0,ySet: 0], [x0: 0,y0: 0,vx: 0,vy: 0,t0: 0,who: 1,m: 1000,c: 1], [x0: 97.5,y0: 0,vx: 0,vy: 0,t0: 0,who: 1,m: 1000,c: 1], [x0: 50,y0: 0,vx: -3.26,vy: 3.28,t0: 0,who: 3,m: 0,c: 0]
Doesn't last for ever... should keep going for... uh... a while.
Time warp affects it badly.

Goes to about t=1550 before messing up. It doesn't actually collide, but something happens.

Doesn't seem to mess up for me.

It does however "collide" (More like bounce around/go off into infinity) at epoch=4000.

Had a moment where I thought "what the heck does AG mean? The sim is in 2d... you can't have a 2d slice of 1d space"

But, of course, you *can* have a 1d slide of 2d space. Neat to watch it, especially knowing that it's literally what gravity would be like in 1d. Seems pretty gentle, I must say. Some clumping here and there, but never strong.
