Is there a way to make each particle lose kinetic energy once it bumps into another particle?

So, im trying to make accurate planet , without the cluster of particles escaping due to them not making contact. Is there a setting i can change to do so?

ps: I dont want to make the particles to join into one but stay stuck together, similar to surface tension simulators

In the full version there is a way to *kind of* do what you're talking about. There's a third collision setting - 'bounce' - and you can even change the coefficient of restitution (how bouncy) in the planets menu.

It's not going to persist indefinitely, especially if you have a lot of them pushing together, eventually they will get close enough to merge. But it might give you the effect you're looking for.

Here's a gif of that in action: https://testtubegames.com/ShareBox/BounceMerge.gif
