Re: TAU DAY
It's also the centennial of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, which led to the beginning of world war 1!
$1 = 100¢ = (10¢)^2 = ($0.10)^2 = $0.01 = 1¢ [1]

Darn you Ferdinand, ruining tau day celebration with the fact that it's also the 100th anniversary of your sober date!

Re: TAU DAY
I wish I had seen this on TAU DAY I didn't even think about June 28 being Tau Day until you mentioned it in this post.
Gravitons would be my favorite particle as their existence could prove extra dimensions.

Don't worry, you can still be one with the tau.AlternateGravity wrote:I wish I had seen this on TAU DAY I didn't even think about June 28 being Tau Day until you mentioned it in this post.

Re: TAU DAY
I nearly forgot about tau day today! It should still be 6/28 in a few timezones (mine included).
Uh... Random tau fact I guess. The Feynman point is one 9 longer in tau than in pi.

Re: TAU DAY
Wow - it zipped past me again. I thought about it on 6/27... and then again on 6/29. Ah, well.
And since it's not technically tau day anymore, I suppose I can post this: Mile of Pi. (I was reminded of this video when you mentioned the Feynman point.)
